In February of 2004, two mechanical engineers teamed together to form Goforth Williamson, Inc. With over 30 years of rotating equipment experience between them, Travis and David focused on developing GWI into a customer-oriented service company. Since that time, GWI has grown to a company with over 50 full-time employees.The employees of GWI are specialists in their fields. They have a vast knowledge of pumping equipment and the applications they are used in. The employees have experience from Original Equipment Manufacturers, motor shops, contractors, machine shops and other rotating equipment repair facilities. Goforth Williamson, Inc. has well over 200 years of combined experience in pump repair, field service, machining, drafting, new product sales, dynamic balancing and welding. With the focus of developing a great team to service our customers, GWI has grown from a company that started in David’s basement to the specially equipped facility now in Griffin, GA. GWI has grown from our faith, work ethic and sincere desire to provide our customers with the best possible service available. Our team looks forward to setting the standard for customer service and support.
GWI Milestones
GWI’s first pump repair job completed in David’s basement.
GWI's first employee hired, Michael Scott.
Over $1M in sales. Built 7,500 sq. ft. shop and office in Griffin, GA.
Griffin became home for all GWI operations.
Became a distributor of new pumps, "Pentair Products". First salesman hired, Andy Bramlett.
Hired first applications engineer, Reggie Light.
Leased an additional 15,000 sq. ft. shop and office building next to GWI facilities to expand operations.
Over $5M in sales. First engineering team employee hired, Greg Ely.
Purchased F550 service truck with 7,500 lb. boom to meet continual growth and demand of on-site service work.
Implemented GWI Controls Division.
Implemented our first remote field service division in Savannah, GA.
Over $12M in sales.
Purchased Gilbert Pump & Mechanical in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. GWI can now provide pump products and services in Alabama, Florida (Panhandle) and Georgia.
GWI launched their own UL 508A/698A certified control panel shop.
GWI offers first CEU Certified training course for "Submersible Lift Station Troubleshooting” to customers.
